Freya Financial Services provides financial life planning and investment management services.

Freya Financial Services takes you through the financial planning process one step at a time. We follow the six-step process put forth by the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards. The steps of a plan include:
  1. Establishing and defining the client relationship
  2. Gathering client data including goals
  3. Analyzing and evaluating the client’s current financial status
  4. Developing and presenting financial planning recommendations
  5. Implementing the financial play recommendations
  6. Monitoring the financial planning recommendations

Types of Clients Who Benefit From Our Services
  • Families/Couples – It can be overwhelming dealing with all of the competing demands on your cash flow. How do you save for a home, college education, retirement, and other goals? Are you properly insured? There are different needs for different stages of life. We can help you sort through it all and develop a plan that is right for you.
  • Single Clients – When you are on your own you may need someone to be a sounding board; to advise you on your future. We partner with you to help you make the best decisions for your situation.
  • Retirees – You have worked hard to get to this point. We can help you determine an asset allocation that best serves your needs now. We will also work with you to determine how to withdraw from your retirement accounts, when to collect Social Security, and evaluate long term care insurance.
  • People in Transition – Loss of a loved one, divorce, loss of a job, disability, and sudden wealth can all bring changes to your lives. You need to reevaluate where you are and where you are going. We can help navigate you through these times.

Types of Services Offered

  • Wealth Management - ongoing services including financial life planning and asset management.
    • Financial Life Planning - This relationship includes discovering your needs and goals that are central to your dreams. We then implement the six-step financial planning process. Areas to be covered in a plan include cash flow and net worth analysis, insurance analysis, retirement planning, estate planning review, planned giving advice, tax planning, and special issues such as advice on major purchases. Legal and accounting advice are not offered. As part of the process, we explore what money means to you. This can affect your attitudes and behavior around money. We attempt to anticipate and plan for different life events and transitions. We will work with your other professionals to help implement the plan according to your wishes. Legal and accounting advice are not offered.
    • Asset Management - We work with the client to determine the asset allocation based on the client's goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance. Freya Financial Services will implement the recommended investments. We also monitor the positions, provide quarterly reports, rebalance the portfolio on an annual basis, and meet with the clients at least twice a year (depending on the size of the account). Freya Financial Services will not have discretion over the account, but will consult with the client prior to transactions to buy or sell in the account.
  • Fee-for-Service Engagements - Per engagement. The client chooses to do either a financial life plan or investment consulting or both. It is up to the client to return for a review/update as a new engagement.
    • Financial Life Planning - As states above, the financial life planning services provided include working with the clients to determine personal and financial goals, cash flow and net worth analysis, insurance analysis, retirement planning, estate planning review, planned giving advice, tax planning, and special issues such as advice on major purchases. Legal and accounting advice are not offered.
    • Investment Consulting - Freya Financial Services will provide clients with a recommended asset allocation based on the client's goals, time horizon, and risk tolerance. Client will be given specific recommendations for investments based on the recommended asset allocation. The client is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and rebalancing their investments. Freya Financial Services will not be responsible for updating clients on performance for recommended investments unless client enters into another advisory agreement.
  • Hourly Services - Offered to those who are not looking for a plan, but wanting to discuss a financial matter in more general terms. There is a minimum of 3 hours.
  • Workshops/Educational Services - Linda has taught at the academic level. She has also provided employee workshops/consultations for companies. Contact Linda if you are looking for a speaker.

Fees on all of the above services vary depending on the complexity of the plan and the total value of the assets. We provide a complimentary meeting with a potential client to have the opportunity to get to know them better and to get an idea of their personal situation. We are then able to provide a quote for the plan.

We do not sell any products or receive any commissions or referral fees on any products or services. Because of this, we feel that we are able to offer impartial advice on how to best meet your investment and financial needs.
